Dark Patterns

My experience with these "dark patterns" are not to common but I once or twice went onto a website where a timer did tend to appear, at this moment I didn't really pay much attention to it and didn't really know why it would pop up. Know thanks to this post I will now know why a timer pops up and will know that it is just getting me to do things I didn't intend to. DON'T LET THIS GET TO YOU!!!

HopePunk means a literary and artistic movement that celebrates the pursuit of positive aims in the face of adversity. Authors think it matters because of how intensely that sentiment would resonate with the platforms community and beyond.

Im Ignited

Today in class we all got to share our big questions. Some of my classmates big questions that interested me were:

• What would life be without marine animals?

This question interested me because it crazy how the ocean can exist without us but we can't exist without our oceans.

• Why does depression associate with suicide? 

This question interested me because anxiety and depression is something that has a big impact on teenagers, a lot of teenagers tend to take away there life due to everything they have going on in life were they can't take the pain anymore and don't want to suffer.

• Can we get sick from eating unripe food?

This question interested me because my mom constantly tells me its bad. My mom tells me not to eat unriped fruit it can causes body illness mostly stomach pain.

• Why do cold cases take long to solve?

This question interested me because I wonder to why it got to take 10-15 years to have a final answer to a crime case.

Last Century’s Writing Styles

Naturalism the weather doesn’t care and there is nothing you can do.

Realism is literature that was written in the style of nonfiction, the narrator and voice talking about the outside looking in. Keeping it real!! 

Modernism is optimistic. The lack of optimism. 

Liminal means that the old ways are no longer working, no longer a thing. 

Argue This

Syllogism is simplest form of logical argument. Has two parts a major premise, minor premise and conclusion. One way of analyzing a syllogism is making the premises true. It’s not valid to jump from one premise to the conclusion. Before you say something make sure you have true statements to make it true.

The World Is My Library

While doing my research on American Literature a novel or story that I found was "The Grapes of Wrath" by John Steinback and "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee. These two novels appealed to me because it has to do a bit with the Great Depression and how it prompted the struggles of migrant farm workers, and also has to do with a child's awakening to racism and justice in South America.

American Literature

The way I define American Literature is the way the American people express there hopes and dream that help then succeed. Literature can we described in many ways such as in poetry, theater, cultural history, art, songs, etc. There are many ways literature can be described as, it doesn’t just have one meaning. The word American also has different meanings, it can be described as the various characteristics it has and the different way every cultures writes about it.
